Applications are invited for the post of Production Head on Contract.

 

CFSI is a Government organization committed to producing, distributing and exhibiting children's films that are both entertaining and educative.

We are looking for a highly creative, dynamic and committed professional to lead CFSI's Production Department. The incumbent is required to be excellent in project management skills with people management skills and have experience in film production so as to take forward CFSI's mandate to produce quality cinema for children.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects through effective, constant liaison & co-ordination with Directors/Executive Producers involved with CFSI film projects.
  • Evaluation (creative, technical, financial) of synopsis, script and other movie related proposals through our script committee.
  • Monitoring CFSI film projects through pre-production, production and post-production stages.
  • Maintenance and storage of raw-stock (film, video and other formats) of our existing collection of our films, utilization and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Production and procurement of all material/formats required for marketing, exhibition and promotion of films like posters, DVD covers, subtitling and dubbing etc.
  • Responsible for efficient and secure up-keep of CFSI produced negatives, prints, video, digital content and if and when required for restoration of CFSI content.
  • Monitor, review and report on all production activities.
 

Essential:

  • Degree of a recognized university.
  • Experience of film or TV production.
  • Experience of working with children or on programs for children.
  • Ability to communicate fluently, orally and in writing in Hindi and English.
  • Knowledge of Indian language other than Hindi.
  • Knowledge of Indian history & Culture.
 

Desirable Aptitudes & Knowledge:

  • The candidate must have studied MBA in films and media management from a recognized University (post graduate degree/diploma) or Production in charge for at least 8 projects
  • The candidate should have experience of at least 8 projects in production of films/television content.
  • The candidate should have relevant managerial and administrative experience.
  • Monitor & facilitate the output of creative script/assessment committees on daily basis.
  • Relevant knowledge about technical innovations and their availability in the industry.
  • Self-motivated individual with organizational and leadership capacities.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Positive outlook with stress tolerance.
 

Terms

The contract is for a period of one year initially. The remuneration for this post will be commensurate with qualification and experience. CFSI is a national government organization committed to producing, distributing and exhibiting wonderful children's films.

We are looking for a dynamic and committed professional to lead CFSI's marketing department. Incumbent is required to develop & implement strategies to achieve the target for marketing the films produced by CFSI including all distribution, exhibition, release, promotional and communications activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and implement effective and pro-active new strategy to
  • Market CFSI's content through theatrical/home video/VCD distribution, telecast channels, release of CFSI films, sale of DVDs through private outlets in India and overseas.
  • Build CFSI'S image as prime content producer of children's films in India.
  • Initiate and manage relations with a range of external bodies including distribution agencies, telecast channels, Govt. and NGO bodies, media to promote CFSI content.
  • Develop and manage external events and collaborations.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all staff and activities under Marketing Department.
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activities and results.
 

Essential:

  • The candidate must be a Graduate of a recognized University with a Degree or diploma in Marketing Management.
  • Experience in marketing films.
  • The candidate should have proven experience in marketing film/television content, and developing and implementing marketing strategies for media content at least for a period of 5-7 years.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written & verbal, Hindi and English).
  • Functional knowledge of computers and internet.
 

Desirable:

  • Self-motivated individual, with organizational and leadership capacities.
  • Creative and innovative ideas.
  • Positive outlook with stress tolerance.
  • Knowledge of one Indian language other than Hindi with added knowledge of Indian history & Culture.
  • Age not exceeding 45 years.
 

The post carries the consolidated amount of Rs.74,983/- p.m.
