Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI) observed Swachhta Pakhwada from January 16th – 31st, 2021 with the objective of bringing a fortnight of intense focus on the issues and practices of Swachhta.

As part of the campaign for Swachh Bharat-Swachhta Pakhwada, various activities were conducted by Children’s Film Society, India in association with various Govt. registered NGOs at multiple locations.

1)     Pledge and Office premises cleaning drive – To remain committed towards cleanliness and to propagate the message of Swachh Bharat Mission, CFSI officials took pledge and participated in CFSI office premises cleanliness drive.

2)     Swachhta Film Screening – Swachhta films screenings were conducted to create awareness about cleanliness and hygiene for children at various NGOs/Organisations pan India.

3)     Drawing Competition – To express the vision of children on future Swachh Bharat, drawing competitions were conducted to show the creativity of children’s imagination.

4)     Essay / Slogan Writing Competition – Thought is the first process of any action, CFSI encouraged children to jot down their thoughts on Swachhata by organising Essay and Slogan writing competition.

5)     Best out of Waste competition – Following the 3 R – Recycle, Reuse and Reduce, competition on Best out of Waste were organised wherein children made useful things for day to day life, out of waste plastic.

6)     Seminar / Webinar on ESCHEW Plastic – To avoid habitual use of Plastic, a seminar was organised for children as well as webinar for CFSI officials.

7)     Workshop – Officials attended a virtual workshop to avoid use of ‘Single Use Plastic’ and to encourage them to use eco-friendly material – cloth & jute in day to day life.
