Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI) in association with C M International School, Pune and Breakfast@Cinema is organising ‘Children’s Film Bonanza’ from July 6-8, 2018. The aim to organise thischildren’s film bonanza which will introduce children to the wide world of cinema suitable for their age, which exposes them to circumstances other than their own and helps them imbibe values like empathy, patience and acceptance.

CFSI will showcase its films to the young audiences to stories from different parts of the globe, with the idea of cinema as a medium of learning. Workshops at the Children’s Film Bonanza will be conducted by Breakfast@Cinema, which will focus on ‘Learning from Cinema’ and ‘Story Time for Tots’, a workshop to enhance their storytelling skills.

There would also be panel discussions on topics; ‘Navigating Content through the Current Media Explosion’ will dwell upon perspectives on how cinema helps children choose values like tolerance, compassion and empathy and second panel discussion will shed light on ‘Understanding Children through Children’s Films’. The discussion will see film makers talk about their approaches to creating stories for children, the challenges involved therein, and how parents can look at these same stories to understand what drives their children.
