These are proud moments for Andhra Pradesh as it plays the
role of lead-partner in holding 16th International Children’s
Film Festival, India at Hyderabad.
I am always fond of inculcating a sense of spirit of optimism,
patriotism and self-confidence in children as they are builders
of the future India. In the past, in the absence of movies,
grand parents like me used to spend time with children infusing
in them spirit of human values.
With the advancement in entertainment technology, no longer
tales from grandparents could attract children. Now-a-days,
visual media like movies is making long lasting impact on
children. Hence, it is our prime responsibility to get films
with themes of human values, irrespective of the country produced
in, are screened for children, at least, in Festivals like
this.
I wish the 16th International Children’s Film Festival,
India a great success with screening of purposeful and globally
acclaimed children’s films.
