Synopsis :

MAA-aa to be pronounced as the bleating of a goat is a free adaptation of an old Panchatantra tale about a Brahmin who is robbed of his goat. However, the narrative is quite different from the folk tale that has come to us.

Our story deals with our little heroes, Chunnu-a village boy, his pet goat-Munna and a baby crow simply called Kauwa, as they find friendship, lose Munna first to a sly priest and then to a band of thugs…but come through the entire adventure unscathed solely by their sheer trust in each other and the willingness to do the utmost for each other.

With its roots in Indian tradition and characters inspired in good measure by old hindi film comedians, Maa-aa is a raw earthy adventure that follows the ways of the village theatre culture.
