NATIONAL CHILDREN'S FILM FESTIVAL
AT SIRI FORT AUDITORIUM, NEW DELHI
November 14-16, 2014

Workshop

1) Chaplin Mime Workshop/Act by Dr. Ashok Aswani
Mr. Aswani & his Grandson are part of the Movie made on the Legend Charlie Chaplin. They will inform the audience about Mime as a form of acting. They will do impromptu sessions with the kids while also going about doing the Chaplin Act.

2) KTB – 3 by Munjal Shroff.
Interactive Animation workshop, presentation by Mr. Munjal Shroff.

This will explain a little history of how animation had evolved & specially how the work has happened for KTB- from concept to final look & feel and how it looks now.

3) Film making workshop for children
A film making workshop for children conducted by “My First Film”. This workshop will help children to learn shooting and editing their own short film through easy and fun induced sessions. Presenters will be Anand Pandey on fundamentals of film making. Sapan Narula on shot composition and taking stunning videos . Ritesh Taksande will take session on Editing and Visual Effects. After completing the workshop the kids will be able to make a short film on their on even using camcorders and cell phones.

4) Magic Act by Mangesh Desai.
Magic Act for Kids by Celebrity Magician Mangesh Desai. Mangesh Desai does a lot of show Nationally & Internationally. He has taught some tricks to Amitabh Bacchan for the movie Bhoothnath. He has also taught magic tricks to Akshay Kumar for the promotion of the movie Boss.

5) FTII Film Appreciation by D. J. Narain, Director FTII.
Interactive session on the art of understanding Film making with respect to Script Writing, Direction, Cinematography & various other nuances related to Film making.

6) Shortcut Safari by Amitabha Singh / Apexa Shah
Actor Jimmy Shergill will be present

In the film Shortcut Safari, the Child protagonists take the challenge thrown at them by environmentalist Jimmy to ‘Construct a Complete World’ and thus they go about making it like a 3D model of their version of a complete world.

A big White Board will be put up and children will be encouraged to voluntarily Draw one (only 1) element that they individually feel is most essential for making ‘their’ World complete.

The functional idea being:
To engage Children with some hands-on activity, triggered by their imagination about Environment and Cleanliness.

7) Dastangoi by Anusha Rizvi
The word Dastangoi refers to the art of storytelling, it is a compound of two Persian words Dastan and goi which means to tell a Dastan. Dastans were epics, often oral in nature, which were recited or read aloud and in essence, were like medieval romances everywhere. Telling tales of adventure, magic and warfare, Dastans mapped new worlds and horizons
