About North East Film Festival 2016
“Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) in association with Cultural Affair and Heritage Department, Government of Sikkim is organizing for the first time International Children’s Film Festival, North East 2016 in Sikkim from March 14-16, 2016.

As part of the programme many activities will be conducted including films screening of CFSI films as well as films made by children (Little Directors). This festival will have fun filled activities, workshops, story telling, quiz etc for children to create an experience for the youth. The film festival will not only give them an exposure to international films but help them develop a critical eye towards the art of cinema.

Children’s Film Festival organized by Children’s Film Society, India in collaboration with Cine Darbaar, New Delhi held at Agartala in the state of Tripura on 9th August & 10th August, 2016.

  • The Inauguration was attended by D.K. Nath, Director Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Govt of Tripura.
  • The film screenings were conducted successfully with over participation from 10 different schools. The screenings were followed by quiz and review writing competition.

CFSI Film Bonanza in Imphal

CFSI Film Bonanza flagged off in Imphal on 17th Oct. 2016 in presence of popular film-maker Shri. Aribam Shyam Sharma, Director of CFSI Film - Paari and National award winning actress Ms. Tonthoi Leishangthem along with other dignitaries, more than thousand children participated in the day long event.
